For the new AIR program Made in Yoro!, we created a workshop and cultural program for the town of Yoro (Gifu Pref. Japan). We stayed in the residency for 10 days and gave a 3 day workshop to architecture students of Furuya Laboratory (Waseda University) about observing a new surrounding, and making a connection to the local community. We made our experience in Yoro into a book and installation at the Fe Gallery in Tokyo’s Aoyama district. For this installation, we created 19 unique books which were suspended in a spiral, at its apex, a small wooden birdcage.

This is the basis for our larger vision for a multi-year cultural program, commissioned by L&C Design for Gifu Prefecture (Japan).
