We usually think that books in a library are only communicating with the humans that peruse through the shelves. However, if you pay attention, you will notice that books, when placed next to each other, naturally tell a new story, providing insights into new themes. Suddenly you are privy to their secret conversation.
That is why we initiated the project ‘A Few Books and So’. This is a shared mini-library, put together with various publishers (MAC Books, Open Editions, Archis, The Future — and expanding). Whenever it seems appropriate, a few books are selected from the mini-library, which naturally highlights an unplanned theme. This forms the base for a poster which is displayed in a (semi-)public space.
