For Printing Plant (aka Amsterdam Art Book Fair) we created a small installation telling the story of how the independent art publishing world has been shifting and changing.

To add a little context we also organized a panel discussion to which we invited Yamandu Roos (photographer and avid book maker), Marc Robbemond (buyer at Athenaeum Book Store in Amsterdam), Wei Guan (founder of the Shanghai Art Book Fair), and finally Emilie Sitzia (Professor of Art History and the illustrated book at the UvA and University of Maastricht). Emilie unfortunately was sick that day.

Though we only had an hour, it was an interesting conversation which we will be incorporating into the further development of our research into independent publishing and the relation it has with the development of artist communities and changes in these communities.
